Indore, 27 August. IET-DAVV has received an encouraging response to the two new B.Tech programmes introduced from the current academic session, with all available seats already filled. The institute has started B.Tech in Industrial Production and B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering for the first time, and admissions to all 120 seats across the two programmes have been completed.

The new programmes were introduced keeping in view the growing demand among students and the changing requirements of the engineering sector. The strong response in their very first year reflects the interest of students in pursuing specialised engineering programmes at IET-DAVV.

According to the institute, the two programmes were initially connected with the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admissions. However, delays in the counselling and admission process affected the schedule. Despite this, all seats in both programmes were filled through the available admission process.

MBA Technology Management programme put on hold

IET-DAVV had also planned to introduce an MBA in Technology Management programme with 120 seats. However, the programme has been kept on hold for the current academic session due to delays in the admission process. The institute is now planning to offer admissions to the programme from the next academic session through national-level entrance examinations such as CAT and GATE.

The institute had earlier offered an MBA programme, which was discontinued after several years. The proposed MBA in Technology Management is intended to provide students with an opportunity to combine management education with technological expertise.

Expanding academic opportunities at IET-DAVV

With the addition of the two new B.Tech programmes, IET-DAVV continues to expand its academic offerings in response to student demand and emerging areas of technology. The institute currently offers several established engineering programmes, including Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication, Electronics and Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Computer Science and Business Systems.

IET-DAVV currently has more than 2,500 students enrolled across its programmes and offers a range of undergraduate, postgraduate and specialised programmes. The institute is also running M.Tech programmes along with other academic and professional courses.
